Utah Special Olympics

Friday, I participated in the Utah Special Olympics for Goldman's Community Team Works program they have for its employees to get involved in service throughout the community. We were in charge of timing the track races and it was so much fun. Cheering the athletes on was so great and they were all very excited and very serious about what they were doing. It was inspiring to see them so dedicated. The funny part was how the coaches and mom's would get so mad at us if we disqualified their athletes when they cheated or weren't wearing the appropriate attire. They would talk to us like we had all the authority because we were recording times, but really, we had no clue what was going on other than the times we recorded on the stopwatches and what the actual officials told us. There had to be 80 or so heats that we recorded!


Anyway, so great to be able to be a part of that awesome experience.
