9 months

We've been able to do some fun stuff this past month! Here's her milestones and some pics of the people, places, and things we've seen!

She started to crawl for real - 5/2
In the first week, she started getting really good at pulling herself up, she also started to do the wave motion with hands (finger flap).
We noticed the that she was cutting her third tooth (2nd upper right) by 5/12and then all 4 upper teeth were poking out by 5/20
She started to recognize animals around 5/20
Isla loves her giraffe so much, that now she can't sleep without it. She will get up and look for it in her crib when she goes to sleep - 5/24
She started to 'cruise' from one piece of furniture to the next - 5/30
Went in the pool for the first time! - 5/31

A couple weeks back, Dani and Shay, and Isla and I went to the NY Children's Museum to play. It wasn't necessarily geared toward the under 1 yr old age group, but there was a section with an obstacle course the girls could crawl over. It was adorable! Isla crawled up and down little stairs, through the little house, and over blocks.

The 3rd week of May was fleetweek in NYC. Dani and Shay, and Isla and I went to the tour of the Intrepid battleship. It was huge and pretty cool, but I wished there were more things to tour. The only real thing we got to tour was the medical bay, which was super cool to see and interesting.

On Memorial Day, we went to my sister's friend's apartment on the upper west side, and we were able to get Isla in the pool for the very first time! She loved the water and had such a blast with Bart.

Just last weekend, we went to the Central Park Zoo and checked out all the animals. How lucky were we that one of the polar bears got so close to the glass so that we could take a picture of Isla next to it. Seriously, so cute!! Isla was saying hi to Ida, a 1000 lb polar bear.

So dang precious.
