The Cloisters

On Saturday, Bart, Dawn, and Isla and I went to the Cloisters up in the northern most corner of Manhattan. It was a LONG subway ride and quiet the adventure getting up there, but it was totally worth it. The Cloisters is a beautiful castle-like building, built in the 1930's to look medieval, that holds most of the medieval art from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It's really well done, although not worth the suggested donation of $20 per person. (As always, thanks GS for the free passes!) Here are some shots of the grounds that Bart took. It was such a beautiful day and we all loved getting out and walking around. Such a fun hidden oasis in the city!

Love it Meems! That picture of you and her is so cute, and I can really start to see how much you two look alike!
