One!

Loie is one month old!

As of last Sunday, that is.  She is the sweetest little thing and such a cute addition to our family.  I mean, who can resist those eyes?

Here are some things we've noticed about her in the first month of life.

- she sleeps with her mouth open a lot, like she's catching flies

-sometimes her eyes flutter open when she sleeps and you can see them 

zooming all over the place, equally cute and creepy

- She's not very good at keeping binkies in her mouth, but she really likes to suck

- sometimes she sounds like maggie when she sucks on her binky

- she has a stork bite on her eyelid, right between the eyes, and the back of her neck

- sometimes she smacks her lips and it's adorable

- she feeds like a champ

- she toots like an adult

- she squeaks and grunts for the first 20 or so minutes as she goes to sleep 

and the last 45 min as she wakes up

- she has baby acne that we're hoping goes away sooner rather than later

- she looks a lot like me, which makes Isla look a lot more like Bart

- we'll say she is mild to medium colicky, mostly due to her reflux

- her fussy period is 5 HOURS long every night, not fun

- she is a very sensitive baby, completely opposite to Isla

At 2 weeks, she was up in length at 20.75 inches, 

weighed in at 7lbs 10oz, with a head circ. of 36.3 cm.

Here are my favorite spoofs from our little afternoon photo sesh.  She wasn't terribly thrilled to be hanging out on the bed with a flash in her face.
