Last Day of the Decade

Can you believe that today is the last day of the decade? Kind of weird. At work today, we were chatting about all the crazy things that have happened in the past 10 years and it's kind of amazing when you put it all together.

  • Graduated High School
  • Went to College
  • Got Married
  • Graduated College
  • Got a steady job
  • Lived in 4 states
  • Bought a house
  • Had a baby
For the Country
  • Y2K
  • The Millennium
  • 9/11
  • The War in Afghanistan/Iraq
  • Katrina, Indonesian Tsunami
  • Justin Timberlake/Janet Jackson 'ward-robe malfunction' (I think this really paved the way for scandelous crap all-over the media)
  • You-Tube
  • Myspace, Facebook
  • The iPod (got big)
  • The iPhone
  • The housing bubble
  • The Stock-Market Crash (Lehman Brothers collapse)
  • Michael Phelps wins record breaking 8 gold medals
  • The first black president

Think about the difference in technology in the past 10 years. It's out of control. Did we even text in high school? Not so much. It's crazy... then next 10 years are freakin me out already!
