Last week, Bart and I went home to CA just in time for the annual (most years) trip to Yosemite! It was so much fun to hang out with Mom and Dad and Price in the beautiful outdoors! Grandma Allen was there too which was a nice addition to the party. She is a rock! That woman climbed all the way to the top of Vernal Falls and down the John Muir trail. She made it all the way to the bottom before having a minor fall. She’s okay, no serious injuries, but we all hope that we are doing that when we are 76. Garret, Price’s friend, was there too to keep Price company. We decided that Price has to invite a friend every trip from now on because he rarely complains when a peer is around.

Dinner at the Ahwahnee was lovely and delish, but I won’t go into it for fear of making Rachel jealous. We went on a bike ride the next day and saw two bears hanging out eating acorns right off the side of the trail! It was really cool. In total, we saw 3 bears, a coyote, and a zillion deer. And Bart gets the prize for spotting the stump that looked like a black bear.

Of course, a special shot out to Mom for her amazing talent for planning and preparation. We had our awesome picnic at the top of the falls ‘cause of her, and words cannot describe how that hits the spot after climbing that mountain. Basically, she rocks and we all appreciate what she does to make our holidays and vacations spectacular.
