Our Christmas was happy indeed. We drove down to CA to spend time with his family and see friends we haven't seen in so long! It was raining for about half the time, but we enjoyed the resting and time in. Except for the minor almost flooding that happened Wednesday morning that Bart, Scott, and Jake had to race to prevent! Oh, and except for the Isla sick and barfing episode that happened Thursday. That was not so fun either. Poor girl!! We think she might have given whatever it was to Bart too, 'cause after the long drive home on Sunday night, he was up all night sick too. Sooo sad! Pray that I don't get it please!!!!!
We took Isla to see Santa at the mall for her very first time and it was such a classic experience. I mean she was whiney and fussy through the whole line and then when she got to Santa she was like, "Who is this guy?" and didn't even crack a smile. At least she wasn't afraid of him. And in her defense, the only reason she was upset in the first place was because there had been a service dog in front of us the whole time who we got to pet once, but then Isla was so mad she couldn't continue to pet it the rest of the 20 minute wait. A service dog? What a tease.

Here are some pics from Christmas morning. Jake asked for an electric guitar and the 'reveal' was fantastic!

Isla loved all her clothes she got from Grandma and Mommy. Does it fit?
Grandma got her a popper, (my mom called it a vacuum when I grew up) and Isla loved it! The only problem is she still isn't walking and so it's kind of hard to push on her own! Man, she really needs to walk. We were wishing for a Christmas miracle, but the most we got was three steps between furniture.

Thank you everyone for making our Christmas so wonderful and great. We love you and miss you already!
