10.1- We moved back to Utah and Isla had her first 4th of July in Huntsville. She met Brisky and is obsessed with her, of course. We need to get a dog, seriously.
10.2- She has started the very bad habit of fake crying/whinning. Also, she has become very attached to me, probably because daddy was still in NYC the whole month of July! She's getting good at pointing to things she wants me to see and learned how to go upstairs! Scary!
10.3- She's started to open up to food more, not great, but better. She's begun to show signs of wanting to hold her bottle and by the end of the month, she is holding it 80% of the time. She's started giving me kisses/bites which either make me melt or wince. She is now totally chatty Cathy, especially when she's exploring. It's like she wants to share the adventure with me. I've tried to teach her 'go down backwards' since she can go upstairs fine. So now she's learning how to go downstairs too!
10.4- She does this whiney throw back the head cry that is really annoying and there's lots of fake laughing and fake crying now. I think she's so cranky all the time because a) her 8th tooth is crowning and b) she has to see my ugly mug all day long with no variety and no daddy.
Welcome August! We are glad to have Bart home finally and return to our normal routine in Utah. I will miss NYC, summer, and Isla's babyhood, but I am welcoming the fall, her turning 1, and being home.
